Nalani is a painter and an award-winning animator who splits her time between Los Angeles and New York. Her large-scale paintings and surreal illustrations often carry over into her animation, which centers on stop-motion and traditional hand-drawn techniques. Best known for her original animated works for the legendary band Boris and musician Domino Kirke, she brings a distinct, experimental vision to every project. With a background in fine art, animation, and miniature set building, she has collaborated on commercial projects for clients like Honda, Fisher Price, and Apple. Nalani is passionate about both personal and collaborative projects, where her approach to animation and painting has shaped a unique, eye-catching style rooted in expression and concept.
Her painting The Skerries is currently on view at TTBH Gallery, 219 Bowery, New York.
